Who do you work with

AD:ROIT works on residential and commercial projects with both owners and renters. We can tackle an entire house, one room, or anywhere in between. Based in New York City, we are experts in creating clever and unconventional solutions for small spaces & navigating NYC's specific building code requirements & co-op board regulations. Madelaine also has extensive commercial experience from individual offices to multi-floor gut renovations.

AD:ROIT delivers comprehensive design solutions customized for your space, style, needs, and investment. Our motto is "everything from studs to silverware", so whether you are looking to make the most of that cozy rental apartment (no permanent interventions allowed), completely renovate a new home, or something in between, ad:roit has you covered. How does working with AD:ROIT actually work?
We have a comprehensive 8 step process:

A virtual or in-person (NYC only) consultation to determine a customized and detailed scope for the project. After the meeting, AD:ROIT will create a document to capture this scope, along with an investment proposal and contract, which we will guide you through in a follow-up meeting.

Step 3: Design Kickoff Meeting
An in-depth design meeting where we get to know you and figure out everything you want for your home. If you are in New York City, we will do this in person so we can fully survey your space. If you're outside the city, don't worry! We can meet virtually and show you how to properly survey.

We design the space of your dreams! We put together inspiration boards, plans, and schematic renderings of your space then meet, virtually or in-person, to finalize the design.

We prepare detailed renderings and a curated selection for each element in the design for your approval.
Step 6: Procurement/Construction Management
Upon your approval we will place all the orders and take care of all the logistics. If your project has a construction component, we will coordinate with the contractor to make sure everything is executed flawlessly.

Step 7: Installation
We coordinate all the deliveries and install your items, making sure everything is picture perfect.

Step 8: Project Finale
Relax and enjoy! Two weeks after installation we will schedule a finale meeting to discuss any open issues and ensure your happiness with your newly designed space.
What if I decide I want to add more to the scope?
Can I shop on my own?
Short answer: it depends! If you have chosen the Comprehensive Consultation or Schematic Blueprint packages, absolutely. If you have chosen Detailed Design, Architectural Renovation, or Finishing Touches, that means you have hired AD:ROIT to design a comprehensive vision for your space. Items you select on your own may not be the best fit for the overall design, space, or budget. If you see something you love, send us a picture or link and we can figure it out together!
